Any chance for an RTOS (Real Time Operating System) kernel and bandwidth management?

I am pretty sure you can't get more "Real Time" because the current kernel is not a special application kernel like what an embedded design might have. As for bandwidth control I am doubtful the base system will ever have user bandwidth capabilities, however it is currently possible using the squid 2.5.s12 proxy server package as it was compiled with bandwidth control and just requires configuration.
If you are afraid that you might make a mistake. The chances are high that you will never learn anything.
