I have Boinc runnin on a few windows and linux PC's.

I also figured my router has some free time and can also run the client.

Problem is when I try unpacking the archive the following is displayed.

[boinc@Freesco] sh
exec: cat: No such file or directory
gunzip: Invalid gzip magic

I am not sure if I should expect this client to work on Freesco but I would like to try.

I am running a version 037 on the box in question.

Thanks in advance.

On the standard install of FREESCO the 'cat' function is a built in part of the shell. Therefor it does not show up as a binary. Which I also suspect that your shell script is based on the use of the "bash" shell. So it may need to be converted to use the ash shell instead or more binaries included to support "bash" from the utils package or Slackware.
If you are afraid that you might make a mistake. The chances are high that you will never learn anything.

From <a href='' target='_blank'></a>
#  Linux kernel 2.2.14 or higher
# glibc 2.3.2 or higher

Sorry, no-go for FREESCO for this client :(
