There is a bug that does not allow the default DNS servers to be changed from the ISP DNS servers in PPPoE and PPtP Ethernet routers. This bug ONLY effects PPPoE and PPtP router modes and it ONLY has effect if the user does not want to use your ISP DNS servers. Patch-038-2 corrects that problem.

This patch can be automatically installed using the advanced package setup option #12, which will check the default web site for patches.

Bug in the RAS (dialin) server. This bug only effects users who are running the RAS server and who do NOT have a WINS server configured in FREESCO on there local network or who are using the "local" option in the DHCP WINS configuration if they have Samba installed and configured as a WINS server. The percentage of users needing this patch should be relatively small.

Bug in 035 that ONLY applies to using the "overwrite" command on a PATCHED 034 install.

The 034 patch is not removed when 035 is installed, and so the 034 patch continues to be applied to the rc_masq file, causing some problems with renamed variables.

To manually resolve this problem:

rm /pkg/rc/rc_patch
mv /pkg/patch /pkg/patch.034
rc_sshd stop
rm /boot/bin/dropbear
sync
reboot

Also check the entire /pkg/rc directory, and remove ANY of the original 034 rc_?? scripts that you have made changes to on your 034 install.

This does NOT apply to the rc_httpd for Apache or the rc_lpd.

This patch is intended for hard drive users ONLY.
